imgTumble Privacy Policy

Tumblr

imgTumble is a Tumblr client app that allows you to view photos from blogs you own and from blogs you follow on Tumblr.  As such, the app connects to the Tumblr & the Tumblr API (Application Programming Interface) to retrieve blog information and photos, which are then displayed within the app.  You should refer to Tumblr’s privacy policy to understand how Tumblr handles your personal information.

When you enter your credentials to log in to Tumblr, imgTumble authenticates you directly with Tumblr via SSL connection.  Your credentials are never stored on the device or sent anywhere but directly to Tumblr for authentication.  Further interactions with the Tumblr API are done so using a secure token provided by the Tumblr API upon authentication.

None of the data associated with your Tumblr account, including account credentials and blog information is ever collected or sent to any server owned or operated by me.  All interactions with Tumblr within the app are directly between the app and the Tumblr API.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

imgTumble may collect anonymous data regarding usage and performance of the app.  No information relating to your Tumblr account is ever collected or used for these purposes.  The anonymous data collected and used for these purposes includes: statistics such as how long the app is being used, what app features are being used and data relating to bugs and crashes.  This data is collected purely to aid in improving the app and further development of features for the app.  The analytics data is collected via the Flurry analytics platform.  Crash report data is collected via the Crashlytics platform  Please refer to Flurry & Crashlytics’ privacy policies to understand how they handle transfer and collation of this data.

Advertising

The free version of imgTumble on iPhone may serve mobile advertising in the way of banner ads through Google’s AdMob platform.  As such, anonymous device data may be collected in order to provide targeted advertisements within the app.  Please refer to AdMob’s privacy policy to understand what information they collect and how they handle it.
